Disclaimer: I am not a rabbi. Do not take my word for anything, check with your own rabbi.
In 2001 my teenage self stumbled upon Judaism and became intrigued. Since then my life has been a continuous struggle with it. I am trying to figure out what my place in Judaism is and what place it has in my life. As efforts to get rid of it have proved futile, for the last few years I have been considering conversion. This is not made easier by the fact that I live in a small European city will a very tiny community that is constantly infighting. Another factor that might make my endeaver impossible is my non-Jewish husband. So yeah, I’m a mess.
This blog is my attempt at figuring out what the heck I am doing and where I am going. I will post things I learn, questions I have and things I find annoying. I am no rabbi nor do I have any standing in any Jewish community, so don’t take my word for anything. I cannot promise regular post or that any of my ramblings may be interesting to someone besides myself, but feel free to stick around.
As I am sort of in the process of converting, I will blog anonymously. The sad reality is, that anything I say might be used against me. As my chances to convert are already slim at best, I prefer not to hurt them any further. If you want to contact me, leave a comment and I will come back to you.
Note on posting times: This blog is shomer shabat and yom tov. No post will be written on these days. Sometimes posts are scheduled and sometimes I make mistakes. This might lead to a post that appears to be written on shabat. Trust me, it is not. Also, I am located in Europe, so take into account my timezone.
